Don’t worry though, I left out almost all the stanced cars. The quality cars were few and far between, but absolutely spectacular.

Kinja'd!!!

The real star of the show for me was this 190E Evo II replica, in full Dekra livery. (Somewhat shameless non-self promotion) The wrap was done by Promax, check out some of their other work, because it’s insane.

Kinja'd!!!

The advantage of this being a replica? CA street legal!

Kinja'd!!!

The OZ wheels were an absolutely perfect match.

Kinja'd!!!

Shockingly, there was no shortage of 300SLs.

Kinja'd!!!

The best part about this pair was that both had some patina to them. Both had somewhat worn interiors, and the red one had cracks in the paint. It’s so much better when the owners care more about driving them than perfecting them.

Kinja'd!!!

Something that threw me about this particular example was the shifter. It went well underneath the dash, while the shifter in the red one went straight into the center hump.

Kinja'd!!!

If there were any doubts that it’s well used....

Kinja'd!!!

There was also a spectacular pair of race-prepped classics that showed up, a 220SE and 230SL.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Now THAT’S what I call stance.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Of course, there was no shortage of clean “lower end” classic Mercedes’.

Kinja'd!!!

One of my favorites was this 450SL which was driven all the way down from San Francisco just for this event!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

There were some great cars outside of the show too, like this GMG-fettled 997 GT3 RS.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I was mildly irritated at the owner of this Brabus-tuned 500SL for taking up two spots. That is, until he pulled out the wheelchair. He just didn’t want to get blocked in.

Kinja'd!!!

While this was an original Brabus car, there was also a little bit of....excessive badging syndrome.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This 500SL was in nearly perfect condition. What really set this car apart was the fact that it was a European-spec model, along with the period AMG wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

The official car of my people?

Kinja'd!!!

This 300CD was seriously immaculate.

Kinja'd!!!

Euro>US when it comes to old Benz’s.

Kinja'd!!!

The owner of this gorgeous W123 wagon runs the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! brand, so of course he has to have a mint wagon in his stable.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Now this is one beastly E.

Kinja'd!!!

Apparently the stock 5.5L wasn’t enough.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Apparently the 190E is a historic vehicle now. I fully support this, the 16Vs are hugely underappreciated.

Kinja'd!!!

An excuse to use my favorite word: MINTY!

Kinja'd!!!

If I remember correctly, the odo showed under 40,000 original miles.

Kinja'd!!!

I’m just a little bummed that the stance crowd has gotten to 500Es now. At least they’re doing it cleanly.

Kinja'd!!!

W I D E. Looks a dash crosseyed, doesn’t it?

Kinja'd!!!

This.....thing was being ruthlessly mocked. Can’t imagine why.

Kinja'd!!!

Getting dumber by the second by standing next to this lineup.

Kinja'd!!!

And a Supra in the lot to finish it off.

“The quality cars were few and far between, but absolutely spectacular.”

Pretty much sums up Mercedes.
